Breathtaking...is the best way to describe the Grande Canyon. It is everything we expected and more. As they say, "Pictures don't do it Justice", and in this case it is so true. Simply Stunning! Well deserving it's title as one of the Wonders of the Natural World. I took a gazillion photos as you can imagine, but chose a few to post on this blog. Don't forget to click on the photo to enlarge for better viewing.
We started our tour of the Grand Canyon on the Grand Canyon Railway just accross from our RV Park. The two hour train trip takes us from Williams, AZ to The South Rim of the Grand Canyon in comfort.
Before the trip in the morning, passengers were treated to a Wild West Shoot-Out Show. Then it's time to board the train.
There was entertainment during the trip, this fella on guitar and Mouthorgan and a very talented Banjo Player.
This is the Hopi House, a National Historic Landmark built in 1905, at the Grand Canyon Village. Here you can shop for Native American arts and crafts.
Our first view of the Canyon after deboarding the train.
We took a shuttle bus to various viewpoints along the Rim.
On the trip back that evening, we were "hijacked" by Bandits! Too much fun...
